Hi, I’m Kendra Spence-Wester, MS. Ed, the founder of 1251 Learning Essentials Academy, a micro-school serving families in Palm Beach County, Florida. With over 25 years of experience as a mom, district curriculum leader, school principal, and teacher in my community, I have dedicated my career to academic excellence, instructional leadership, and community engagement.
I founded 1251 Learning Essentials Academy because I believe every child deserves an exceptional educational experience—one that nurtures their unique strengths, fosters a love for learning, and equips them for leadership. My passion for personalized learning and student success drives me to create an environment where each child thrives academically, spiritually, and socially.
I am excited to partner with families to make a lasting impact in our community. Together, we will inspire lifelong learners, strong leaders, and compassionate citizens.

As a child, founder Kendra Wester enjoyed walking to a school nestled in the heart of my neighborhood, where the faces were familiar and the connections ran deep. Teachers were more than educators; they were neighbors and mentors who invested in our lives, understanding that the children they nurtured would one day shape the future of the community. This deep sense of belonging and purpose is the foundation of the 1251 Learning Essentials Academy. Named after her grandparents' home (1251 w1st Street) where her love for learning first took root—1251 LEA embodies the warmth, wisdom, and encouragement that shaped her educational journey.
